This morning we finally saw Las Vegas in our rear view mirror. Our destination today is Desert Hot Springs, a suburb of Palm Springs CA. Our route took us through Mojave National Preserve. The route was definitely the road less traveled. We stopped for a break and lunch at Kelso visitor center and historical train depot. We got to the Catalina Spa RV Resort about 4pm. It is a very nice park and super affordable at $27/night. This resort has two pools that supposedly are mineral hot spring fed. We plan on trying the pools before we leave. We reserved 2 nights but are already talking about extending one or two more. Weather is perfect with a high of 77 and low of 54.
