This morning we headed out for a special Donna treat. We were headed to tour the Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch. We had extra time so we stopped to enjoy the waterfall and dam in the nearby suburb of Post Falls. The park was beautiful and Maverick had a great time. We arrived just on time to the ranch. Uh oh, it didn’t look right. Donna went to the house and startled the older farmer there who knew absolutely nothing about an Alpaca ranch. Somehow we had put the wrong farm in the GPS. Donna called the ranch and let them know we wouldn’t make it on time. She was really disappointed. We decided to head the 30 minutes to the Alpaca ranch anyway to check it out. We arrived 30 minutes after the tour started but found the group was just leaving the initial briefing so we didn’t miss much of anything. We had a great time playing with the very affectionate mini-donkeys and with the Alpaca herd. The tour was very affordable and fun. The ranch was located in beautiful mountains and forests.
After the tour we headed for lunch. While in the Seattle area we checked to see if our favorite Texas Roadhouse restaurant was anywhere nearby. It turns the only one in the Pacific Northwest was in Coeur d’Alene. We were very excited to enjoy our favorite meal for the first time since leaving home and it was awesome.
After our awesome lunch, we went back downtown to try out the dog park. Maverick had a great time and we enjoyed being out in the super nice weather. We did one last drive through downtown before heading back to the coach. Back at the coach I cleaned the windshield and washed off the bugs from the front of the coach. Not a small job.
